Astrid Capoferro received an education in classical studies at Sapienza University of Rome (Laurea in Lettere, 1994 and Specializzazione in Archeologia Classica, 1998) and graduated from the Vatican School of Library Science in 2001. As head librarian at the Swedish Institute of Classical Studies she coordinates the activities of the library and is also in charge of the digitization project of some of the Institute’s collections (Digital Collections). She curated the exhibition at the Istituto Centrale per la Grafica on the copies of Etruscan paintings made by Alessandro Morani, owned by the Swedish Institute, and edited the exhibition catalog (L’Etruria di Alessandro Morani, Polistampa, 2017). She is the author of scientific articles, particularly in the field of Latin epigraphy and the history of collecting antiquities.
